I took a ride the other day on a late night train, not knowing where it goes.
It was kinda funny, for a while, till I realized, that I don't know where I am.
There was a woman, by the window, with her hair pulled back, singing songs that I recognize.

And I don't know what they say in the books but I think I'm on the right track.
Yeah my shoes are worn and my legs are tired but I've gotta be on the right track.

I wrote a song, the other day, about nothing at all.
I don't know why, guess it keeps me going strong.
